Icelandic Film Festival in Tokyo March 2006

Valdís Óskarsdóttir was one of the guests of honor at the Icelandic Film Festival held in Tokyo 4.-10.March 2006. 15 icelandic movies and a collection of photographic work from Valdís and Becky Yee were shown at the festival.

Valdis received the acclaimed Bafta awards from the British Film Academy for her edit on 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. Bafta are the most honored and recognized movie awards held outside the USA.

Valdis received awards for Best Editing from OFCS for her work on 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. In addition to Best editing the film received many other awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay.

Valdis received awards for Best Editing at the San Diego Film Critics' Society Awards for her work on 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'.

Valdís Óskarsdóttir received the Icelandic Edda award for work on 'The Sea', a movie directed by Baltasar Kormákur. Edda is the biggest and most pronounced movie award in Iceland.
